The 10 year Ridgedale Reunion! (26th - 28th July 2024)

Think festival of networking, celebrating, feasting, connecting and HANGING-OUT!
We always said it from the very first internship, "We should all meet again in 10 years, have a reunion!" So....we should!
If you have been to Ridgedale on a training or as a core team member or friend in the last decade then please come back for this long weekend of celebration and feasting, connecting with old friends and meeting new ones from other years. Having met multiple years of people at events, it is obvious the power and benefit of introducing people to each other and strengthening the network! It's amazed us how many people met here and went off to start businesses together, supported each other on their journeys, even got married and made babies! Not least, many of the most exciting Regenerative Ag projects in Europe have been seeded here in some way.
You may also bring partners and children, you just need to let us know in the form at the bottom of the page. It is a family friendly event! The neighbour at the top of the hill has very kindly offered additional space for camping potentially, which may be suitable if there is a little noise going on down in the yard. We are not going to be making very loud noise regardless, due to neighbours.
Right now it is only the dates that are set, and it would be great to co-create the event. Perhaps that is best for a more local group to form around this, and could involve;
The intention is to blend together mini-workshops focused on connecting people professionally and personally, creating space for sharing, creating epic feasts, leisure time for walking/swimming in the lake as well as evening entertainment to celebrate in the warm long Swedish summer nights. We have DJ's and could consider hosting acoustic bands/musicians, etc. Hit us up if you have good ideas! It will need some input, we will be in a pause in the middle of a busy educational year. Get involved with your gifts, strengths and talents!

- Connecting people from across years in a way that supports their work and lives
- Creating food and dealing with human logistics

food & Eating
- We eat a balanced diet of meat, dairy, eggs, vegetables and whole foods. We will supply farm raised and grown produce alongside 100% organic whole foods that we buy in. Whilst we have a farm chef, with dinner the evening of arrival and breakfast before you leave, we will need a bunch of people to help get involved in meals, washing up, taking care of spaces, etc! Think about big BBQ's and huge vegetable buffets. We aim to cook on fire and outside together collaboratively. We will all need to pitch in to make it all smooth and make sure everyone is well taken care of. It will test all levels of logistics here, and we trust everyone understands that and is prepared to show up to be of benefit!
SLEEPING AND OTHER HOUSEKEEPING
- Camping only. You need to bring a good tent and sleeping bag, and be prepared for Holistic Planned Camping!
- We will have the sauna on most of the time for rotational washing!
- We have high speed fiber optic internet available, this might test it!
- We have simple compost toilets. Be prepared to queue!
Travel Kitty
We are putting 100,000 SEK into starting a travel kitty. We want everyone that wants to come to be able to. If you want to contribute to this kitty to benefit others, please let us know in the form below.
How it works
Everyone is entitled to apply for support for travel, but please only apply if you really need it. The main intention is for people with a little more disposable income to support people coming from further away/ with lower budgets to make it more possible to join for this special event! Everyone needs to cover their own cost out of pocket, and the funds will be divided and distributed after the event proportionally to what was applied for as a percentage of all applications. i.e. If the kitty stays at 100,000 sek and 10 people apply for 10,000 sek, they all get fully funded. If 100 people applied for 10,000 sek, they would only get 1,000 sek. Hope that makes sense! There is obviously no guarantee how much this will work out to until the event, and we won't be able to answer questions about it due to all the moving parts. We will clarify and announce this at the event.

Cost (500 SEK Per Person)
We landed on 500 sek per person to keep it simple, regardless of age and how long you attend, which will help a little towards the costs involved. If you want to donate additionally to help cover the actual costs, we leave that up to you! The main intention was to make it virtually cost free and an easy "Yes!" for people. It is critical we know how many people are coming in advance for obvious planning reasons. Initially, you need to fill in the form. We will contact people later with payment info and further details.
ARRIVING AND DEPARTING
Due to our rural location, we invite participants to arrive 12 pm onwards on Thu 25th July. Fri/Sat/Sun are full days. Plan to leave after breakfast Mon 29th. Please note, we cannot accommodate you or help with transport easily outside these times.
Driving We are located quite centrally to all the major regional transport hubs. We are 3 hrs from Oslo, 4 hrs from Stockholm & 3.5 hrs from Gothenburg. We may not have enough car spaces on the farm, but will find local spots for overflow and you may need to walk after dropping your gear! For Google maps use this address;
